I wish there was a type of national geographic of the beginnings of
Olympus and the founder, especially stories of parts development, tool
and die would be so fascinating to see. (no CAD and such back then) Just
changing the focus screen shows such ingenuity in the design and detail.
Imagine the meetings after an outing of shooting, discussing the need to
make 17 different focus screens? how long that take? You repair guys
must have a gift for it, just changing the focus screen was enough to
set off a little voice ..... back away from the camera.
