It didn't start up by itself, so I "pushed" the play button. It then ran
for a few frames before running out of downloaded data. The datastream I
was getting isn't anywhere near fast enough to view as streaming video.
I went off and did other things for many minutes, checking back
occasionally. When it was completely downloaded, I ran it. I wasn't
really paying attention to the time it took, plus I use the net for
other things in the meantime.

Did it try to start right up, or did you have to wait for the whole thing to
download?
I thought I had streaming server installed, but apparently not. It is supposed
to start playing immediately, while the rest of it loads. That's clearly how it
is working on my LAN, but apparently not over the Internet at large.
