So that means the angle of view should be just about halved, doesn't it? Kind of nasty on the wide-angle side of things, but my 180mm f2.8 would turn into an interesting 360mm f2.8 at that rate.

The angle of view will be reduced in proportion to the difference in frame
size.

Watch for minor colour or exposure shifts between lenses. These are a pain
within a scene. That's why movie makers use T-stops and zooms.
