When a lens turns too far clockwise, it often jams the meter coupling ring
past it's stop position.  It deforms the plastic, makes the ring oval and
sometimes breaks it. Try pushing the ring inside the body mount back to its
rest position.  If you can do that, next is to see if it slides smoothly and
will return to the rest position under it's own power.
