Why would they catch on fire here and not elsewhere in the world? :-)
Ever wondered why the AC adapters on portable computers, particularly a
few years ago, were huge and weighed a significant percentage of the
weight of the computer? My brother designed portable computers and said
that the rather different requirements for important world markets could
not be met in one adapter without making it large and heavy. He ranted
and raved a bit about this.
