A friend would like to sell his OM1n and Zuiko 35-70 (I assume it's the F4
as he purchased it new with the camera - could be the 3.6). His daughter has
been using it for the past couple of years as an art school student, so it
hasn't been sitting idle on the shelf, but she wants to go digital, hence
the desire to sell...
I haven't seen it, but he assures me everything works perfectly and the body
and lens are in good (which knowing the owner makes me guess "Exc +")
condition. I have no idea whether it has genuine caps/cases/manuals/boxes or
whether the "passed" sticker is "minty";-)
I have no use for another OM1 body (have 2 already, along with a 2sp bought
from listmember Foxy a couple of years ago) or 35-70F4 (have one already and
always carry the F3.5-4.5 instead).
I'm guessing market value for the package (with F4 lens) would be in the
order of AU$300-400 (US$180-240) depending on condition (please let me know
if this is out of line + or -)? Last time I bought a plain OM1 body (bgn
condition due to slight mirror desilvering) body about 5 years ago I paid
AU$200.
If any local listmembers are interested, please let me know and we can work
out an inspection and a fair price a little below market (I'm NOT taking any
commission).
If no interest on the list I'll suggest he take it to one of the bigger
camera shops and put it on consignment as they seem to get consistently
higher prices than ebay over here.

PS sale to an international listmember could be arranged but a local sale
would be preferred for simplicity. I would also like to get him a fair price
rather than bargain, which makes shipping/customs charges less worthwhile
for the buyer, but YMMV.
