Good call Piers - about the engine!

Flying the Vulcan, though, was the absolute pits when I was a young pilot. It was rather limiting in career terms and a copilot would spend his first tour learning to control the fuel balance around the aircraft... but they went many places around the world and could carry fridges and other duty-free booty back from cheap places (in the bomb bay, if there was no extra fuel tank installed).
