I used to work about a mile from the runway at
Heathrow. Concorde was always an event, but one day one came over my head on
what was obviously a go - round.
Now I get them overhead at a rather higher altitude - about 8 minutes from
the Runway, usually on approach. It is a fabulous sight, and one I will
miss.
As far as Photography is concerned, I heard that the observation deck at
Heathrow is now closed, and they have never been keen on people standing in
the car - park, so off - site is your best bet.
OM content - NONE, dammit. I spent a perfect day on the observation deck
several years ago. Unfortunately during my not owning a camera period.
