I can almost sure if you tokina at F2.5 is sharper than the 50 at F8 you
50mm lens must have problem, all the 50mm I have is very sharp at F8 and it
need a 10x lupe on 3R prints to identify the small different, I did the test
with most of my lenses in that way some years ago until I stick with slides
and microscope and now the 4000ED scanner seems good enough for me to make
the comparison.
