Somebody posted this in response to my similar request a while ago:
"I have and use both an Oly DCR and have a Canon DCR that works equally
well. The Oly DCR is considerably heavier.

I am interested in buying (or trading) for the Olympus double cable
release. Someone had mention an alternative brand that would work. I
want to say it was either Nikon or Canon. I would appreciate anyone
with a better memory than mine letting me know the alternative cable
release. Please respond off list if you have the Olympus item to sell
