Skip is right. I have several OM-4t's which are used 99.90f the time.
I have an OM3-t and would never part with it, but the times I take it
out are days when it is 10degrees F or lower, or when I just want to
play. If you can keep the batteries warm, the OM-4t does just fine. The
OM-3t is a classic and from my experience, more reliable than a L**ca.
(I hope that is safe to say on this list::-) I also had a Nikromat with
titanium shutter, heavy on the neck strap, but also reliable. How much
does the pleasure of a camera contribute to the end result? I find that
most often when really into photog mode, I just want the camera to
respond. I also must say that I am addicted to diopter correction - my
eyes are always shifting from day to day. Must be that age thing. I
think the diopter correction on an OM-4t or OM-3t contributes greatly
to getting critically sharp photos and is the main reason I do not use
an OM-1 or OM-2, as much as I like those cameras.

Lately I have mostly used the Olympus C5050 digital camera. It is
compact enough to take anywhere and can be coerced into behaving
mostly the way I want. If only it would respond as rapidly as an OM. It does
give me hope that Olympus still knows how to make a decent camera with
proper engineering tradeoffs. I hope they continue to surprise us.

Wayne - who has been moving from one house to another and way too
stressed lately to spend much time reading the list.
