The XA is _great_. Sure, the shutter release is a bit twitchy, but once you
get used to it it does help to reduce shake when shooting -- but the lens is
lovely, and it's such a compact package.

Hre are some shots from a recent test roll I took for the new one I got (on
the
topic of night shots from a while ago, the trails ones of these were with
the XA
on an ultrapod letting it meter itself -- it seemed to do okay, though I'll
admit, I did tell it it had 100 film in rather than 400 for some of the
trails
ones, just to make sure it stayed open that bit longer):

It's great for this sort of thing; small enough to pocket, along with an
ultrapod it'll take stable 10 second shots, and the shutter release makes
hand-holding at slow speeds relatively practical.
