How do you know that?
Dan

Dan,
Compare the data sheets:

Kodak Royal Gold 400:

http://www.kodak.com/global/plugins/acrobat/en/consumer/products/techInfo/e7007/e7007.pdf

Kodak High Definition 400:

http://www.kodak.com/global/plugins/acrobat/en/consumer/products/techInfo/e7013/e7013.pdf

(long URL's . . . paste them back together if they wrap)

Identical description
Identical non-daylight color correction recommendations
Identical "proper exposure" density data
Identical print grain index
Identical characteristic curves (log exposure)
Identical spectral sensitivity curves
Identical spectral dye density curves

Take the Kodak Royal Gold 400 data sheet, change the name at the top, delete the very short paragraph containing exposure time limits to avoid reciprocity failure, and Bob's your uncle, it's a Kodak High Definition data sheet!

If it looks like a duck, flies like a duck, walks like a duck, swims like a duck, quacks like a duck and defecates like a duck, then it's a duck. :-)
