John & Clint, I could cut the tab off my 2-13 and stick it in the PC with just

Yes, it is easy to change viewscreens but, the eSIF saith that the 2 series screens are "Lumi-Micron'. It also says that the OM-20(G), 30(F) and 40(PC) have "Lumi-Micron "13" type" screens. (The OM2000 has a "Super Lumi-Micron "13" type", brighter than a 2 series??) I would check further before buying a 2 series and adapting it to the OMPC, as it may already have the same thing.

If the OM-PC board konks out, could I pull the same trick with the OM-10 that
everyone recommends as a budget body?

According to the eSIF, the 10 has a regular 1 series screen, so the 2 series should brighten it up. However, since the 10 doesn't have the partially silvered mirror, I assume it's metering is like the OM-2 and a brighter screen would make viewfinder indications and manual exposures inaccurate.

I believe the 10 is only recomended as a budget body if you get a serial number above 2 million, with the improved innards. The 20(G) is a better bet, with the improved innards, built-in manual speeds and, apparently, a brighter viewscreen.
