I ought to throw in a good word for one Jessops branch I contacted when
hunting for an Adaptall-2 mount.
There were half-a-dozen listed when I searched on their website (but then
you have to phone each branch holding the item individually) - the first
few didn't know what they were looking for and/or couldn't find it.
The last on my list was in Northern Ireland (Lisburn or Londonderry, I
forget which) and a female voice answered the phone. I admit my
hunter-gatherer genes fired of the first MCP reaction and I was a bit
despondent... I asked if they still had the Tamron mount and asked if she
could find it, look at it, and see if it was OM or OL.
She immediately said 'oh is it for an OM-4?" and a smile appeared on my
face when I realised I'd found the right person! Yes and Yes and 10UKP +
3UKPp+p and it was in my hands in few days.
Thanks for restoring my faith...
