It is a sort of walking cane cum camera support, made of some composite material, on top of which is fixed a thread. That thread can take a "Stalker Grip" which is a rest for a long lens; a ball on which you rest a rubber cup which is screwed into your camera's tripod thread; a flexible rubber joint (a "rubberneck") which screws into the tripod thread; or a solid screw which fits the tripod thread.

The whole thing is very light, very strong, can be extended to about 180cm (just under 6 feet) and is most useful as a walking stick as well as a camera support. Billingham sell them (www. billingham.co.uk). If there is none shown, send them an email and they will provide you with a brochure. The CamCane costs about £30 (GBP), but the whole kit, including Stalker Grip (not Rubberneck) costs a bit more than £50 (GBP) including postage in the UK.
