These kinds of generalizations have one thing in common. They are always
wrong. I see two kinds of automobile buyers, those who buy what is in vogue
or what will impress their peers, and those who choose what best does the
job they need done by the vehicle. If you need to haul a lot of stuff, small
sucks. Most people around here select thier vehicles to meet their needs and
screw what anyone else thinks. As much as I dislike minivans for myself,
they are a good choice for many people. /jim

Amen Mike,
I do also think that these are the real vehicles. I have had the chance to
follow the "evolution" of rally sport and even remember the times when
Renault Alpine A110 and Lancia Stratos were rullers of the roads if there
were any..., but this is US and nothing matters more than size...which
theoretically contradicts with the success of the OM system....the necessary
OM content. Small is bad, no matter how good it is and big is good, no
matter how bad it is, this is the reality here.
Walt and Ken,
Please, accept my apologies for not clearing in my first email on the
subject that you fall in the category of the 0.01%, coz of your lifestile,
but for the rest of the population (note the word population, whose scope
includes the humans and animals out there and not limitied to the humans on
this list) is driving a stinky minivan as far as I am concerned.

Ciao
Boris
P.S. I just finished the film with the pictures made with my new Sigma
75-300 and would have them developed in a couple of days. Wait for the
review.

Other than the tires that sounds a lot like a Subaru WRX STi Wagon, and
I think it is still sub $40,000.

In the world of "SUV's" the US tends to ignore what Europe and Asia are
putting on our roads ,"Street Legal", derived from their World Rally
Championship (WRC) efforts. These are not for the technologically shy
however. A typical WRC car has 3 active differentials, engine computers
that rival Formula 1, Traction control (Controlled slip ratios) all on
the most brutal road surfaces (or lack of) available to the Rally Organizer.

I hope I can find one used when I wear out my current ride.
