Replied in haste this morning as had to rush out and sit in traffic on the
freeway, while dressing, shaving, reading paper, doing crossword, eating
breakfast, talking on cell phone, working on laptop, smoking, drinking
coffee, putting on makeup (hey, this is san fran!), organizing cd's, playing
frisbee out the window with ones i was tired of, painting toenails, taking
photos with XA3, etc, etc...., so thought i'd follow up...
If you are looking for personal recommendations for a dsl service, i've had
earthlink (mindspring) dsl for a couple of years and wouldn't hesitate
recommending it... few times i've had to call support or customer service,
they've been good... last down time was over a year ago... on the road,
they even have local dial-up numbers in oz, so that i could enjoy my time in
alice springs by logging on to the office and continue working... ;)
The main players in the u.s. are aol, msn, earthlink, cable and phone
companies...
What are your criteria.... dial-up, high-speed (dsl/cable/satellite), cost,
reliability, ease-of-use, ... ?
