Thanks Chris,

We have two MB 300 D Turbos . I have wondered if it would be worth it to use used vegetable oil in them, but decided I might gain too much weight (on my body) if I had to go to restaurants every time I needed to fill up.

What kind of set up would be needed to mix the liquids? I believe it might save some $ to use the mix and at least save on the highway taxes charged on the kerosene.

Up to 50 0regg, according to the handbook. It advises against putting petrol into the diesel (although I once checked that it will run with petrol and diesel mixed half and half (!)) and it mentions that a flow-improver like kerosene should be mixed into the diesel before "paraffin separation" takes place in the cold diesel.

My diesel Mercedes is allowed to have kerosene mixed with diesel for
the winter, apparently.
