Carlos, those pictures are gruesome, and bear *no* resemblance to the
contacts on my battery holder, which has no sign of ever having been
soldered.  Yours has been *fried*.

I'm referring to the spring loaded battery contacts inside the grip, NOT the
battery holder itself (though those can melt too).
