Hey Jim,
yeah... <g> You are quite right. I like the mountains
here a lot.

You may have heard we have a WAY TOO HOT summer all
over Europe, so here in Swissie as well. Do you know
the mountains in the Engadine a bit?

Well, last weekend I was there training with my
cycling pal (and without my OM) and it was incredibly
nice weather. But when we drove up the Bernina Pass
and looked onto the mountains like Piz Palü and Piz
Bernina, we were *shocked* to see how little snow
there was left and how much rock was visible... I know
these places inside out from 20-25 years ago... What a
difference... this warming is WAY out of line...

The weekend before we were on the Furka Pass in
Central Switzerland. The once mighty Rhone Glacier has
shrunk to pocket glacier size you decorate your living
room with. A joke of glacier. Terrible!

I'm really concerned. I sure like a warm summer, but
this is too much... I'm afraid we're in serious
climatic trouble and I'm pessimistic that we will not
be able to ever reverse the process...

Thomas
