Thanks -

The E-1.
Similar in feel and controls to the E-20, which is a plus - solid, well
laid out, etc.

VERY bright, sharp viewfinder - much, much brighter than E-20.

Autofocus appears instant, and to be much more accurate - although I
only saw images I shot on the LCD on the back of the camera.

No apparent shutter lag, and write speed appears to be as quick as with
any other pro-dslr.

The lenses are much heavier that you'd expect them to be - which is to
say they are small, compact, but have a "Leica feel" to them.

I was surprised to see that the zooms have extending barrels, which you
don't see anymore in the Nikon and Canon pro zooms. How that will play
out over time...who knows.

I was definitely impressed with the camera, and can't wait to see what
kind of images it produces in terms of prints.

As for the E-20...
These were shot on assignment for the Christian Science Monitor -

And these were shot playing around the other day..

Well, once you gave your OM gear away, I think it should rather stay in
the better caring female hands ;)

do tell the list more about your encounter with the E1, please. It has
been the object of quite many threads...
