Hi all:
Does anyone else out there have a Polaroid model 7020/7030
transmitter/reciever pair for the Spectra camera line? I picked one up
in really good condition a few years ago, then promptly forgot about
it... For those of you that don't know, it's a unit with a hand-held RF
unit, with a receiver that attaches to the camera via a tripod screw.
All it does is close a relay that shorts a couple of contacts on the
connecting cable. Although it is not the correct connector for the OM
winders and MD's, it is easy to make an extension for them.

My question is, if anyone has one, what range do you get? Does anyone
have documentation on the unit telling what range one should get? 10
feet seems to be the max on my unit, which is useless for me, since I
have remote cords that are way longer than this. Also, does anyone know
what frequency the unit works on? I can imagine other ways to send a
signal to the receiver without using the original remote :).

Thanks in advance,
Cheers,
--Lee
