My copy, dated 04/82, doesn't say that.  Both the 135/2.8 and 
135/3.5 are on the same page (48), and the respective captions 
read, "Zuiko MC 135mm F2.8" and "Zuiko 135mm F3.5," indicating to 
me that the 2.8 is multicoated and the 3.5 ain't.

Looking through the entire brochure, it seems the only lenses 
without "MC" in the caption are, besides the 135/3.5, the 8/2.8, 
21/3.5, 35/2.8 Shift, and the 75-150/4 zoom.

Of course, things may have changed later, and this conclusion 
assumes, perhaps erroneously, that unless it says "MC," it's not, 
or wasn't then, multicoated.  For instance, my 35/2.8 shift 
reflects all those different colors we associate with muticoating, 
so, who knows what that proves?  Regarding the 135/3.5, I would 
say definitely maybe.  Or maybe not.
