You've got it. If you err, err on the side of underexposure with transparency . . . but remember that you cannot err by very much . . . tranny is rather unforgiving! The basic guidance is erring on the side of greater density (darker film; aka thicker emulsion) which is underexposure for tranny and overexposure for negs. Thin [emulsion] which leaves things more transparent or "clear" looking is Bad.

Don't tell me to look at my own slides, because both incorrect exposures look horrible to me.. But I think overexposure looks a bit worse, because everything is blown out..
