I don't have a Tamron 350, but I do have other lenses with slip-in
filter holders in the rear. In both cases there is a pretty tight limit
on filter thickness. I have a Zuiko 35.5mm 1A filter that woun't quite
fit in my Tokina AT-X 15-500/5.6. Mounts fine in the holder, but won't
quite fit in the slot. Since I have no other use for it, I may cut down
the front threads to make it fit. Max thickness for a filter for the
Sigma 800/8 is 3mm and Sigma says no polarizer will work on one of their
other back filter lenses except their own. Not that it won't fit, but
the the desired polarizing effect won't be produced. Don't know why that
would be, but that's what they say.
So first hurdle is finding a polarizer in the right thread size, second,
finding one thin enough, third, will it work properly. Might be worth
contacting the manufacturer before instituting a big search.
