Sorry to hear about your lab experience.
If you do decide to start processing your own and you plan on
scanning the film, I would highly recommend shooting Ilford
Delta films. Both the 100 and 400 speed films are excellent.
The film base has a slight fog to it which makes it scan MUCH
better.
