I have both a 2-4 and a plain Beattie (and a 2-13). The Beattie is a
nice screen and seems as bright to me as a 2 series. It is not, however,
quite as nice as a 2 series. It doesn't work as well with wide angle
lenses, starts darkening around the edges, as I recall, getting worse
the wider the lens. The viewscreen image is also not as nice, perhaps a
coarser matte finish.
