Garry is correct. More labs can cope with 6x7 easier and submitting MF negs/trannies to them is not the same as 35mm format. They will typically print only traditional sizes 3.5x5, 4x5, 5x5 (from 6x6 format), 8x7, 8x10, 11x14, etc. from medium format (note that the ubiquitous 35mm 4x6 print is missing). This is because the machines used to make inexpensive "machine" or "commercial" prints from 35mm are different from those used to do the same from medium and large format.

You can have any print dimension you want if you're willing to pay $$$ for a custom print of "custom" dimensions. Most labs will use the custom print price for the "standard" print size that encompasses both dimensions (e.g. ask for an 8x12 from a 6x9cm negative and you will pay the custom 11x14 price).

You'll find a lot more labs/ darkroom equipment geared for the 6x7 format.
Of course the 6x9 is in the same image ratio of 35mm format 1:1.5. An there
is the old rebel photographer thing to satisfy. }:^)>
