Rich, I find that when I need to focus fast, the SLR's still do it faster.. I was out focusing some of the auto-focus guys around me for a few shots; I snap it into focus, I don't have to hunt, I know what focused looks like, much more so than the AF systems do..

BUT.. The RF's focus a lot more accurately IMHO..

But I have to admit, the quietness of the RF's are much better for street photography.. The M6's I hear (or don't hear) don't intrude on the subject as much as my OM.

But for macros, SLR is king..

My main criteria are sharp pictures in hand held shooting in low light wide apertures. I am happy with my decision. I just thought that you should quantify why you want a MF before getting one.

An aside:
MF would not work well for this. The *fastest* MF lens that has ever been made is the Sekor 80/1.9 for the Mamiya manual focus 645's and it's still in production (same lens mount for decades). Everything else starts at f/2.8 or slower. In addition, the lenses for 6x7 and 6x9 are slower than the comparable ones for 645 and 6x6.
...

I didn't say I bought a MF camera with my reasonings!! :-) As some of you know, I bought a Le$ca M7...

and I know I should be get kicked out for saying this, but for the purpose of my shooting styles, the M7 and its lens are "better" a majority of the time. The Zuiko 50/2 and 90/2 are as good at 2.8 and up, but not at 2, and I get at least one extra stop because of the lack of mirror vibration. This is just for me though. I find that I still focus faster w/ the SLR groundglass so the OM-4T get used for that, plus the macros and telephoto.
