Thanks Marc, they don't look too bad. It is a very seductive technology, but I know that I would buy it for the feel and fiddling, rather than for the image-making...

I've actually noticed it (well, I could hardly miss it
here), and on the LCD too! I don't think it would normally
be that noticeable on the LCD to allow you to reframe
as I did here:

...which barely shows some noise, but which you would
better be able to see in full-size images which I am happy
to email you if you want, Chris (approx 3Mb jpg's each out
of the camera). There are purportedly post processing means
of reducing this aberration, though I've not had need to
thus far (I prefer the second image :-) ).
