I'm not sure what you mean. Albert and I were talking about running continuous 
WITHOUT any re-booting required.

Is the situation so bad that Windows users consider their machine "running 
continuously" as long as the power switch is on, whether it's capable of doing 
continuous work or not?

My MacOS X server that has been up 219 days has also been running a mail 
server, a database server, and hosting a dozen websites continuously for 219 
days -- no re-booting involved. In fact, "top" informs me that "idle_thead" has 
accumulated over 5,000 hours of run-time since the last re-boot.
