I would envisage a large degree of modification, (and a high risk of
failure!). For a start the CCD will have to be removed from the vast
majority of the main circuit board. Then modified to gain access to its
focal plane. then mounted on a carrier to suspend it in the OM film gate.

This is why I have waited until the donor camera candidates are pin money.
And also why I won't cut up a good OM back for it.

One pre - requisite of the project is that it will not involve any
modification to the camera body, so removing the shutter is not on. I have
another Polaroid back (commercial but not NPC) which uses a lens on the film
plane to project an image down an enlarging tube to get a 6*4.5 print. Works
for all the lenses I've tried. Unfortunately the rig is just not practical
to use! Also adjusting the back - focus outwards always means that the image
size will be enlarged. Not good for an undersized sensor.

This is beginning to look harder than I anticipated :-(
