Hello Denis,
Not at all off topic. (Maitani has designed these, too) Wonderful cameras. Here is a link that would answer most of your questions:
http://www.diaxa.com/xa/xastart.htm

CH Ling on the list has a lot of experience and knowlegde about the XA's. See his comment on the XA4 lens here:
http://www.accura.com.hk/OM/lenscom.htm

The two best are the XA (best control over aperture and distance) and the XA4 (best optical quality, most expensive). I am fortunate to use both. There are a selection of cases and boxes for various versions. Even a special strap with close distance measure for the XA4! KEH.com has often got good deals. If you ever come across a flash diffusor for the A11 flash, I would be interested.

Regards,
Svein

I know this is am OM list, but let me ask an Olympus question....

There were a few flavours of Olympus XA cameras. I wonder if anyone could
help me, I had an XA for a number of years, used it all the time, the optics were excellent as the quality of the pics showed. Unfortunatly I forgot it a
Big Apple Double Decker bus while visiting NYC a few years back. I have
missed it ever since.

I still have the flash and come accessories and have a chance to pick up a
used, but mint, unit.

I also have picked up an XA2 since, a 'red' coloured unit sold I think only
in Hong Kong.

Does anyone know the various models ever offered in XAs ?

Best regards to all.

Denis S.
