Yes, there's a review in October's Professional Photographer, concluding:

"The E-1 has been designed to target certain sectors of the professional
market, and there are many professional tasks
that it would meet in its present form, including portraiture, weddings,
news coverage and some commercial applications.

More specialised tasks such as sports photography will require a more
specialised body (and the existence of that splendid
300mm f2.8 lens makes you think something for this sector is being planned).
Some high-end applications will need a higher
resolution body, and that has already been promised. There will also be a
lower spec body aimed at the hobbyists.

Olympus has certainly made a flying start with a camera that works well and
is a pleasure to use. If you are in the market for
a camera in the 6Mp range, don't overlook the E-1."

So not bad, then.
