If the tech is factory trained, 2/2N shutter lock is a problem he's familiar
with.  Otherwise, "let's bend this lever and see what happens.....nope, that
wasn't it.......where was that lever before I bent it?......"
If you're worried about fogging, black tape over the md port is better than
nothing.
