Did you try pointing a powerful halogen lamp right to the naked MD coupling
for some 15~30 seconds? I own my 2 since 1981 and did so about a month ago.
After I saw the first two Provias partially fogged (first one more fogged
then the second), I tried to identify where was the light leaking from,
using the same lamp and looking from the inside. I'm almost sure I saw a
tiny ray of light at the base of the take up spool, depending on the
incidence angle of the light source. I needed to play with the incidence
angle of the light quite carefully untill I caught it.
When I finish this roll I'll check again.

But there might be another reason for that fogging I must admit.
