If anywhere, I would bet the MA-1 picture came directly from Olympus Japan.
"They" are in that mode when they will say anything to make people think it
was never made, never proposed, never considered, never dreamt of. Oooh,
fake picture, someone snuck that in to our email, then someone snuck it onto
the company server, then.......oh nevermind. Then, hope, hope, hope, that
people will stop asking for it. (If you tell a lie long enough.............)

Doro:

OK, if the MA-1 is "fake" (and I DO believe you!), then why was the
photo/image posted on the dealer portion of the web site? I can certainly
see the logic of Olympus' decision not to produce it, and about half of me
agrees. (The other half says, "But I WANT to try my old Zuikos on it!")
And I understand that MAYBE it got posted "by mistake", but it seems like a
pretty big mistake to do so, almost unbelievable, especially seeing that
there was a part number associated with it, as I recall.

When I handled one (oh so briefly) a few weeks ago, it felt really good in
my hands. The batteries were dead, so I could really do anything, but
between that feel, the build quality, and the quality of photos I've seen on
the web, I'm pretty impressed. But I will probably wait for a newer model
with slightly higher sensor resolution.
