I accept your admonishment: I shall continue to try yellow beers ;-). However, nothing you can write will persuade me that Bud is "food" beer. The yellow beers from Germany, brewed under the "laws of purity" (Reinheitsgebaut?) make them the best of the lagers for me.

OK Peoples,
You are wrong about the "yellow" beers in general...
Chris, I stock up Grolsh too, along with Beck's, St Poly Girl and Urquell Pilsner, but by no means I think they are beers to savour...but if you lived here for an extended period of time, you would have thought they are taken directly from the heavens and brought to the Earth for your enjoyment. I really miss Zagorka, a Bulgarian beer

I call the "yellow" beers food beers, we drink the stuff you are accustomed in the bar (or pub), but some of them are so good that you can drink them when you go to the bar.
Earl,
I can tell you numerous stories like that, they even put ice in their wine...State of Mizery was too much of a cultural shock for me and as you probably know by now I just do not like it. I do not have any idea how my wife grew up in this environment...and turn out to be what she is.
Ciao
Boris
