Hard to see how an electronic viewfinder could be done with the CCD behind a
real shutter. You have to go to an electronic shutter to make it work.
Since all decent digis seem to have a real issue with time taken in
processing images, and thus limited burst capture abilities, a real - time,
high - resolution, full - colour WYSIWYG electronic viewfinder would appear
to be a long way off. Once you get there, you have a high res video camera,
and all you're doing is choosing the frame to store.
