Yeah. Except for being able to upload my vacation pictures in minutes rather
than days, I honestly don't see what I'd get for my
enormous cash outlay. Well, there is that indefinable digital "clarity". It
just looks more like reality. But those are the only
two things.

Skip and Tom sold tons and tons of equipment and I wonder what I'm missing. I
guess they had tons *TO* unload but still kept their
prize 35mm kit.

Skip unloaded thousands of dollars worth of stuff including lenses he carefully
tested and selected and said he's going to a digital
E-1 with two zoom lenses. When he said it, it didn't compute- but that's not
the entirety of it. He still has 7 OM lenses!!

Schnozz, these guys are extending their kits, not replacing them.

I'll bet they can both still shoot indoor basketball on 35 somehow. I don't
think it's possible with the E-1 and zooms.

Without a 35 kit in the background, imagine how much it would cost for a
collection with backups. Add up the cost of two E-1
bodies, a flash as capable as a T32, 4 fast primes and 3 zooms. I don't think
many of us are selling everything to get down to a
minimal kit without backups.

One more thing? For me a big Plus to getting something more modern is that
auto-balancing flash thing. I think mine's gonna be a
ZLR like the Canon G5, once they add available light to the thing. I'll add a
medium-sized, smart flash. Done.
