Olympus probably only cares about people who will get their NEW products
favorably placed in front of the faces of the largest market. They've
probably noticed the odd collection of Zuikoholics but don't see any way for
it to boost their market share for new camera sales. If the OM fanatics want
to have some clout (and even the slightest chance of Olympus wanting to show
them their new cameras) they will have a have a lot more visibility to the
mainstream market.

Take lots of pictures, publish them all over the web, enter contests, get
your pictures published in magazines etc. In short act like a professional
photographer who gets noticed by others. Building up the Olympus ring and
linking to the hardcore OM sites so that anyone stumbling on an OM users
sites will be sucked in and become a user. This group clearly has enough
joint wisdom to provide volumes of special interest details. It just needs
to be made visible to more and more people.

Coming up with a coherent vision and the time to create widely visible
info/content is where myself and probably others need to put a little effort
to add to the party.
