I bet it will never go beyond 12MP. Noise is a big issue for small sensors.

I've heard varying numbers on the potential sensor resolution based on Kodak
pubs.  Anywhere from 12 to 32MP.  Dunno what's real, and dunno what are the
potential "side effects" of increased resolution.
