I don't think they captured those particular "images" with an optical
telescope. I think it's captured by radio telescope, looking at various
wavelengths. The real data, I imagine, looks like The Matrix. They're
impressive because of the false color. Still, cosmology is the biggest show on
earth. Pun intended.
