Never mind infinity, just look at that depth of field ;-). If the adaptor
has no glass, then there *will* be that problem.
On the subject of the Russian lenses, make sure you get the right one! There
is a Peleng 17mm/2.8 available (most frequently in Nik*n and Can*n mounts),
but sometimes described as having a T-mount. Take care, as this may well
have the same shortcoming as Carlos mentions with the M42 adaptor. Although
the thread is M42x0.75 (as with a real T-mount), the register is different,
and a normal T-mount is too thick.
There is also a Peleng 8/2.8, but I don't know if it shares the same mount.
Both the Pelengs are (to be pedantic) Belarussian, but yours must be the
Zenitar, I think, Carlos. A true Russian AFAIK.

I'm afraid it won't focus to infinity...
BTW, I find the Russian 16/2.8 fisheye (on a suitable body) to be a better
performer than the Sigma. No experience with the Zuiko 16mm, though.
