I think a lot of this OT political discussion has to with those who are
still upset that George Bush ended up President and Al Gore didn't. Like
the website name, it really is time to "move on".

Don't let the facts get in the way of what some still perceive to have been
a stolen election. After several weeks of closely scrutinized recounts and
a three-ring media circus, George W. Bush won the Presidential Election in
Florida by exactly 537 votes. George W. Bush did not steal the Florida
election. Nor did his brother Jeb steal it for him. Al Gore simply lost
the election in Florida.

It was at least the fourth time in a Presidential election that a candidate
with a minority of the popular vote ended up with a majority of the
electoral college vote. With the Electoral College, it comes down to
knowing which states you need in order to win. All Al Gore needed to do
was win his own home state of Tennessee, the state he proudly served as a
U.S. Senator, and he would have been elected President despite losing in
Florida. But he didn't carry his own state, the state where he kicked off
his candidacy and the state where he went home to vote and watch the
election results. Al Gore lost Tennessee by exactly 78,691 votes. Thats
kind of embarrassing. Rather than talk about that, I guess its easier to
blame Florida.

The only person to blame for Al Gore losing the election is Al Gore. It
really is as simple as that. You don't have to like the current President.
But he didn't steal the election. Al Gore didn't do what he needed to do
in order to win. I blame Al Gore.

OM content: There are still no dealers in the Tampa/St. Pete metropolitan
area (2+ million people) stocking or even showing the Olympus E-1. Not
one.
