I disagree, assuming stability is relative to the photographer, or more
specifically to the photographer's ability to handhold, in which case
stability would surely increase?

Mmmm... interesting evolution of the thread.....

Why not take along the bottle on the photo excursion and hang IT under the
tripod for stabilization. But, as the night went on, I'd assume the tripod
would be less and less stable!
