I suppose that's one possible reason. If Oly is not being disingenuous,
it's about the only reason that makes sense. B.D. loves his E-1 and
argues that Oly must be right, but has no practical experience with OM
lenses on the E-1. Winsor's point below certainly makes sense to me.
What is one to believe?

I've been keeping my mouth shut in this discussion, but have one
practical thing to say. C.H. is known to me and others as a meticulous
photographer and technician who is about as fussy about lens performance
as anyone here, certainly more so than I. He's the one who has posted
microscope pics of film to make lens resolution comparisons and clear
samples of coma in the 180/2.8, etc. And he has been very happy with OM
lenses on his 10D. If he says the results are technically excellent, I
tend to believe it. So OM lenses can perform very well with a digital
sensor of roughly the same size and resolution as the E-1. Does CCD vs.
CMOS make a difference?
