Hi Tim

To add to what Chris has said (if I may be so bold, Mr Barker!)

You can use the bright screens with any lens, but with the 'shortcoming'
common to any microprism-equipped screen - the prisms may darken to be
unusable at smaller apertures. If that is a problem with the 70-210 Tamron
(I have nothing against Tamron's, and use them myself) then you may need to
consider a 1-6 or 1-7 (but you will then lose the ability to see depth of
field)

Fotofrenzy in Edmonton, N london are listing 1-6 and 1-7 used and new, as
well as 2-4 new for 40 quid. Call 020 8804 8117 and speak to Shash Patel.
But don't tell everyone!

They *are* easy to fit, so long as you don't have inch thick fingers.

HTH

Piers

Welcome Tim. I have the Olympus 2-4 screen in both OM4 and 2SP. I think
that they are about 30-40 quid each, half the price of the Beattie screens
and just as bright by the accounts that I have heard.

Try Ace Cameras in Bath, Luton Cameras or Colchester Cameras as they
sometimes stock new screens. Ffordes in Beauly sometimes have huge stocks
of Olympus stuff.

If you live anywhere near me you are welcome to have a look through them.
