I still have the screw-in protector on my digital - but I never received
one with my OM4Ti - it was already long-gone when I bought that. I don't
remember a protector on my OM2s though - did they originally come with one?
I used to be an Olympus dealer and I've had my black OM2 since 1978.

Lost all but one of mine George and I built a little shrine for that one to
help me remember what they look like ;^) Now what I would REALLY like to
have is the little black plug in the hotshoe threaded socket that came with
my brand new in 1977 OM-1. I've never seen one of those suckers on eBay but
I bet it would go for about a hundred bucks.

Most of them don't stay around for long. I think you'll be on an ongoing
mission to replace them again and again. After stating that, I know someone
will
chime in that they have their original one still in place since 1972. I
think
some hot shoes may vary in size and therefore, fit, so once you lose it,
IMO,
you'd be prone to lose another. You'd think they'd all be in the bottom of
your
camera bag, but noooo, I suspect they go to the same place that your missing

socks from the clothes dryer go.

I don't know exactly what they are called, but does anyone know if it is
possible to purchase a replacement plastic flashshoe protector? That's the
little flat plastic piece that slides into the hotshoe. I lost mine off my
E-10 and I figured while I was at it, I would get replacements for my OM2
and OM4Ti at the same time!

I'm totally lost without it and don't know how I can go on....!
